The objectives of this department are

1. To provide students with a sense of conscience through the history of humanity and social unity.
2. Preparing students for competitive exams with complete knowledge of History.
3. Enhancing students’ knowledge by teaching them ancient and modern aspects of human culture.
4. Examine the history of the colonial North America and the new nation.
5. Critique the domestic and foreign policies of  the US since the mid nineteenth century.
6. Assess the historical importance of modern non-western cultures.
